ABOUT OUR CHAPTER

The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity was established in 47 West Range at the University of Virginia in 1868. Since then, our fraternity has developed into an international brotherhood and become one of the largest fraternal organizations in the world. We have been and always will be dedicated to developing men of integrity, intellect, success, and high moral character. We strive in fostering a truly lifelong fraternal experience. Our members continue to have a positive impact in their campus, their communities, and throughout their lives. We believe the fraternal experience makes better men, better friends, better husbands, better fathers, and better members of society.

Our internal structure is based upon four pillars - Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen. Scholars are students who excel in the classroom, sit in front of class every day, and have a willingness to learn. Leaders are those who hold positions in organizations, are reliable/dependable, and are always willing to help others. Athletes are more than just good at sports. We want someone who is competitive in all aspects of life and who holds a winning attitude on the field or in the classroom. Gentlemen are those who are thought of as courteous, respectful, and honorable to any and all they may meet. With these four pillars, we believe we can shape the most-best men.

The Epsilon Iota Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity was established in 1958 on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Throughout our 65 years of existence, we have exemplified the ideals, traditions, and beliefs set before us by our founders in 1868. Although much has changed since our founding, one thing has remained the same - brotherhood.
